What will I talk about?
In the complex world of High Tech companies it is no longer possible to rely on centralized strategic management. Key to implementing a true agile approach is to find ways of conveying visions and directions to the development teams – rather than handing over long lists of requirements. Most of the decisions has to be taken by the engineers during product development.
I will talk about a couple of concrete tools we have been using during the last couple of years.
- Using personas to visualize key users and decision makers at customers.
- Structure requirements in way that connects details with overall strategies.
- Defining prioritization rules using tools like Value Mapping and the Value Canvas.
In my speech I will focus on the role transferring market opportunities and company strategies into executable product ideas.
